Moment of Truth or Moment of Stupidity

Published by crime_watcher at 10:16 pm under Entertainment, Reality TV, Uncategorized Edit This

I can’t believe I just saw another greedy contestant embarrass herself, her family, her friends and her boyfriend, only to walk away with nothing.

This last contestant admitted to drinking while pregnant, passionately kissing another female and having a relationship with her, and to talking to ex boyfriends about her sex life with her long time boyfriend. She further caused pain to her boyfriend by admitting that while they were together she accepted gifts from men she was attracted to, and made out with a co-worker. One question away from $100,000 and she was asked if she ever regretted getting back together with her boyfriend and she answered “no.” I knew right then that she had blown it. You can’t really love someone and do the things that she had just admitted to doing. Sure enough after the standard pause of tension, the narrator determines “that answer is……………………false.” There goes her guaranteed $25,000 and a lot of pride and humiliation.

What makes people risk so much for money? What good is the money if you lose your spouse (which has happened), embarrass your family and possibly lose your job. Contestants have admitted to stealing on the job, falsifying vital statistics during emergency care, groping female customers, and other job threatening acts. Not to mention the humiliation the children of these contestants must endure.

The worst part of it is that after humiliating themselves and all their loved ones, many contestants keep getting greedy until they miss a question, usually a no brainer that is obvious to the audience, and end up going home with zilch.

My advise, play the lottery. Your chances are just as good and you don’t hurt anyone playing it.

I agree 100%. No amount of money could ever convince me to go on that show. But you have to admit it’s like a car wreck…can’t stop watching (especially when nothing else is on).
